MapCrossing the Pretend
Description
Crossing the Pretend is an overhung, lowball problem that ascends perfect stone on hand-friendly features over a fantastic landing.
Sit start with hands matched at the vertical rail. From there, move out left to a sloper at the lip, walk the feet, move with the right hand to an excellent, diagonal edge, then match with the left hand and make a big move to the obtuse lip. At that point, work the feet into position, mantle with the left hand, and top it out.
Location
It climbs the center south face of Waldo Rock.
Protection
A pair of pads will work well, the landing is flat and clear. There is a rock back and right of the problem, but it really didn't present much of a factor during my experience.
